Tablescape Thursday-Thanksgiving style

I am joining Susan at Between Naps on the Porch for her Tablescape Thursday party.

I pulled out my grandmother’s original Fiestaware for this tablescape. I love the colors and they just scream Thanksgiving to me.

I remember as a kid, everyone would ‘fight’ over the dark blue plate. Here, you’ll see I placed it at the head of the table where my hubby sits. Nice wifey huh?

I especially love the golden boa I used down the middle of the table (a recent find on clearance at Hobby Lobby).

At candlelight……(no, it’s not dark outside yet…ha)

AND, I noticed I took pictures before I set my silverware out. Call it Mommy brain!

Once more look at my tablescape.

Thanks for stopping in!

Reid, I agree that the colors of the Fiesta ware are perfect for fall. How nice that you have the set from your grandmother. The boa is a clever touch. Tell me about the goblets. Are they buttermilk goblets?

Every single tablescape I've done, I've forgotten something! and I don't have little ones to blame it on. More like GRANDmommy brain...AKA senior moments! LOL

Your table is very pretty. My DD has all the wonderful colors of the Fiesta ware & I love the heavy & substantial quality of them. They actually toured the Homer Laughlin factory in East Liverpool, where they are made. Google it & read how it was started...very interesting.

Hi Reid, I love the fiesta, it is very colorful and happy. What a great centerpiece down the center of your table.
I like it just the way it is... sans flatware. It really makes the plates pop. Some mistakes are blessings in disguise!
Have a happy and blessed Thanksgiving!

Love the colors. 80 degrees here just doesn't seem like the holidays.

The fiesta ware does scream fall. I thought that was a clever idea to put the boa down the center. Very nice.

What a lovely table you've set. I too just love the colors of Fiesta ware! And you are a very nice little wife giving your hubby the most sought after plate.
Be a sweetie,

What a excellent fall table, perfect for this time of year! I'll have to keep my eyes out for feather boas- what a fun addition to the table! Must say that I love the fabric on your dining room chairs :)... Dee Dee

I call the old Fiestaware 'happy dishes'...the colors always make me smile. Very pretty table, even without the silverware...come to think of it, the first Thanksgiving table probably didn't have too many eating utensils, either!

I really LOVE how you have memories with those dishes! That makes for a super special holiday. This setting is so warm and fun. What a perfect table for Thanksgiving.

I love using things that have special memories attached -- so special and they grow more special with each year -- how fun for everyone to have their own color of Fiesta ware!

Love your tablescape with Fiesta. Brings back fond memories of my aunt. She had an extensive collection and I always admired the bright colors as a child. I also love putting lots of candles on the table. Candles add so much. My philosophy is you can never have too many! Thanks for commenting on my chalkboard. The frame was originally gold so I lightly sprayed it with plain silver spray paint to give it a more antiqued look.

I used to have a huge vintage Fiesta collection (now I wish I had it back)and my favorite was the aqua. It does set a fun table.

We all get mommy brain (and my kids are out of the house)!
