Tablescape Thursday

Hi All!

Susan at Between Naps on the Porch is hosting another Tablescape Thursday and this is the first time I am joining. This is my current tablescape, but it's likely to change soon for Fall so stay tuned!
I am currently looking for a new tablerunner so feel free to leave your feedback. Does it need to be an accent color, gold, red, or something totally different?
Thanks!
Plates were purchased on sale at TJ Maxx and love them!

The glasses were my grandmother's and I love the 'dot detail'.
Thanks for stopping in and I LOVE comments, so feel free to leave them!

Hi! Congrats on joining Tablescape Thursday (I've always wanted to participate too but can never get my act together!!). Yours looks lovely, I love all the layering of patterns and texture and color. Can't believe those plates are from TJ Maxx (I love that place!). And so special to include some family heirlooms. Great first submission!!!

Thanks for your help with my office trim too. I figured it was going to be something like putting tape on the carpets. (I would love hardwood floors!!) Thanks again for the tips:)

Your tablescape is great ... but those two babies are even greater! How do you find time to worry about a table?

Very pretty! I also love the white (like my yellow!) Today I went to TJ Maxx again and they have this design in a soft blue and a nice aqua! Ahhhh! If only I had tons of storage space! LOL!

P.S. - You banner with the family pictures is so sweet!

Hi Reid,
Beautiful table in a beautiful room! Congratulations on your 1st Tablescape Thursday and welcome! I hope you'll be back for many more!

You asked for suggestions for when you shop for a new table runner. You could always play it safe and go with a solid or tone-on-tone in a parchment color ... then let the color come from flowers and beautiful napkins. I also like using upholstry weight fabric remnants as runners. You can bunch them casually under the centerpiece or cut them to size. Finishing options would be to fray the edges, hem them, use pinking shears, or just cut neatly. If it's not washable, and the fabric remnant was a bargain, you can just toss it when it gets soiled and make another one!

Welcome to Tablescape Thursday. It's fun to see what everyone puts together.

Your dining room is so pretty with the deep walls and dark furniture. It's warm and welcoming!
